I've been seeking God as to how Jesus was able to do what he did and not get distracted, over burdened, and overwhelmeed in ministry. It is sometimes difficult to minister to others and not become consumed and over-burdened with the responsibilities of ministry. Jesus always maintained balance, excellence, and peace in ministering to others.
This is what God gave to me in response to seeking Him: Jesus was mission focused and kingdom minded. Nothing detered or distracted him away from the mission because his resolve and determination was to do the Father's will and complete his assignment on the earth- everything else was secondary. He was completely sold out to His Father's vision.
Staying with the mission of the kingdom is the ministry that God has given us to give to others for the mission is the ministry (service) to others. To get off into busyness is distraction and ultimately ineffectiveness. Through this we learn that when our resolve for God is greater than the world around us only then can we complete our divine assignment and fulfill our divine destiny in true Jesus fashion- balance, excellence, and peace.
So, continue to stay focused and kingdom minded. "Stay with the mission of the Kingdom. This mission IS the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

I say that because maybe you're like me in that this year [has yielded forth some] unexpected things of life that you had no control over. From losing my job; to my husband's health issues; to personal family matters; so far, this year has been real. And yet...read more inside...

God is a giver and we, like Him, should be givers as well. It's not about what we can get but what God gives. It is written: "for freely have you received so freely give" (Matthew 10:8). It's not a matter of what we can do for the Kingdom of God but more a matter of whether or not God can trust us with the Kingdom. Are you a vessel fully submitted to God that he can trust?
