National Day of Prayer: We Must Pray!

Thursday, May 6, 2010 is the National Day of Prayer! I am very excited about this day, because for those of us that will make the time to observe this day set aside by our government, it provides a time where many can be in agreement for God's will to be done on earth and spefically in our country. Created in 1952, this day provides an opportunity for us to exercise our religious liberty particular to pray.

As I believe you are praying always, please take a moment out of your day to consider the following prayer points:

1.) Please pray for President Obama and his entire cabinet that their minds and spirits be open to the will of God for themselves as well as this country. In addition consider the leaders not only of the federal government, but state, city, county and other governmental entities.

2.) Pray for Congress (Senate and House of Representatives, republican, democrate, independent and tea party). Please pray that they will consider and pass legislation that is according to the will of God, that it is fair, just and righteous in every way.

3.) Pray for your church and pastor and the entire Body of Christ! Pray for God's revealed presence among them, pray for His revelatory power, funding of the vision, and all the members of the congregation. Also, pray for more souls to come into the kingdom of God.

4.) Pray for our school systems, colleges and universities concerning safety, proper education, the teachers and students.

5.) Pray for your family, friends and neighbors, that they will know Jesus, and that His peace will rule in their hearts.

There is so much to pray for and I'm sure you have some very specific personal request. Whatever they maybe, know that I will be praying with you and for you, as always, but especially today!

God bless,
