You Have Nothing To Be Afraid of!

God loves you with an everlasting love. He loves you so much so that He has placed great treasures in your Spirit. These treasures are there for a variety of purposes; to bring Him glory, to bless believers in the body of Christ, to share Jesus with the world, some of them to bless you financially, to give you self-fulfillment, and for much more.

So why is it that you, at times, are afraid to excavate and utilize all that is within you?

Fear, self-consciousness, and lack of faith and confidence are often the tools that hamper us from doing all that God has called us to do.  The enemy uses these emotions to make us question ourselves, our spiritual gifts, but most importantly the Word of the Lord and His promises to us. We find ourselves asking questions like, "Now what are people going to say if I attempt to do preach this message? What if I prophesy and I'm wrong? What if I minister healing and the person passes away? What if I tell people God has called me to prayer and I can't handle the war fare? How will that look, God? I will just make you shame, won't I?

Many of you, as preaching women, have explored these questions and more. Your mind has raced during your prayer time, devotional time, and even before you have gotten up to minister with these kinds of wonderings.  However, let me encourage you by saying, "You have nothing to be afraid of." God has called you for such a time as this! Remember, whom He calls, He justifies and equips.

Hebrews 13:5-6 says, "He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." God will be there to help you through anything that you do for His glory.

Bishop Noel Jones and the City of Refuge Mass Choir wrote a song that says, "It's Not About Us, But It's About Jesus!" They are absolutely right.  It's not about us.  It is surely about Jesus. When you make up in your mind that you do not have to operate in a spirit of self-preservation, but depend on Jesus, you will be able to fully give of the treasures of God from within yourself.  You will lose the ability to fear, or worry about your image or reputation.  The Spirit of God will make war on your anxiety and release you into a place of occupying and overcoming. And when people see you, they will see the Spirit of the Living God being great in you and upon you!

So, what is it that you have been contemplating doing for God? What is the thing that you are seeing when your eyes are opened and when they are shut? What organization are you thinking of starting? What business do you see a need for? How can you perform that missionary work you've been dreaming of? When will you finally write that book that you've been telling everyone about? When will you accept your call to preach? "Woman of God, You have NOTHING to be afraid of!

I am here to encourage you to "Do it!" Do it now, while it's fresh in your spirit. Do it now while it's relevant, do it now, before it's given to someone else to do.  Don't miss your opportunity to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Remember, God will be with you every step of the way; you have nothing to be afraid of!

God Bless,

E
