Using the Old Testament story of Job, author Sandie Freed exposes our ancient enemy and the multiple ways he manipulates believers. With her trademark transparency and warmth, Freed encourages those struggling with a sense of hopelessness, a negative self-image, or a season of attacks--to name just three. As the Organizer and Senior Pastor of the Sacred Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church (FGBC) in Baltimore, MD, Dr. Greene is one of the most beloved pastors in the city as well as in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Having impacted many lives throughout her tenure in ministry, Dr. Greene is potently anointed to preach and teach the word of God with love, compassion, and practicality. God wants His people to be healthy in every aspect of life. This is what He means in 3 John 2, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." What many people fail to realize is that prosperity is not exclusive to money; it further covers our relationships, our businesses, our professions, our families and our spiritual lives. But note that the second part of that clause says, "...and be in health." This suggests that the prosperity and the good health go hand in hand. What a shame it would be if we do all that we can to achieve an optimal life, but lack excellent health! Would we be able to totally enjoy the benefit of the blessings that God has in store for us? We often hear people say, "When I think of the goodness of Jesus, and all He's done for me..." Most of us can finish the saying! However, let's literally take a moment and think about it. What really comes to your mind? Is it His goodness, His mercy, His love? Maybe you contemplate all the times that you've called upon His name in your time of need? Perhaps you reminisce about His faithfulness and the privilege you have as a believer to come boldly before His throne and obtain mercy and find favor, according to Hebrews 4:16.
