After losing two young adult sons in 2006, just six months apart - one to an act of violence and another to an automobile accident - Frozene Lott Hayes could have crawled into a hole and never come out. No one would have faulted her for that. Instead, she channeled her emotions into music and the result is her album entitled, Thank You Jesus, One More Time... Read more insdie...
Understanding Scripture is an exciting and crucial way to mature as a Christian, grow in discernment (being able to more readily spot aberrant theology), and equip oneself with the Word for witnessing. We all know we need to read God's Word to be fed spiritually, but have you ever given thought to how you can read it to best glean the intended meaning from the text? Theologians call this science of biblical interpretation "hermeneutics".
Can you remember the last time you sat quietly and took an account of your dreams? Do you recall the last time you intentionally contemplated your destiny? What specific thoughts have you recently had concerning where your life or ministry is headed? How you will navigate the journey? These are some very important questions, as God has established a predetermined course for your life, and He desires that you to complete it! However, the question is, "will you?" Find out inside!

Plan to join us for the 2013 Preaching Woman Empowerment Conference, October 10-12, 2013 at the spectacular Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA. This conference promises to be one of the most glorious, exciting, and informative training and development events for women in, aspiring, or associated with ministry!
Conference planning today requires a different approach than it did just a few years ago. The attendee's demographics, financial realities, competition, and alternative venues are all factors that directly impact conferences today. Another factor that has impacted conference planning is the priorities of the attendees. The widespread use of things such as Webinars, Web conferences, Skype, conference calls, expanded use of e-mail, texting, and social media have also had an impact.
One of my favorite passages of scripture in all of the Holy Writ is 2 Chronicles chapter 20. I love this chapter because it speaks of King Jehoshophat as a godly leader who showcases both his humanity and his champion-sized faith. Often people don't want the called of God to admit that they have problems because they have mighty anointings on their lives but truth be told, those who have high anointings on their lives face hard tests and great opposition and yet they preach the Word. The dinners, the candy, cakes, pies, puddings, the family gatherings that become "food fests" and the chilly evenings in your home relaxing in front of the TV watching your favorite movie or game with popcorn or nachos sitting on your lap can all lead to holiday weight gain. Research shows that most people gain weight from mid November through the first week in January. It is important to realize that for the majority of us, we will NOT lose this weight but rather it will continue to add up and we continue to lose the "battle of the bulge". This is not just about not being able to fit into that cute Easter suit, it is more about what this added weight gain does to your risk of diabetes, heart disease, breast and colon cancer as these are all added risks when you are overweight. Here's wishing season's greetings to you and yours during this most hallowed time of the year! As we explore this 5th step to destiny, I have to ask a simple, yet thought-provoking question: who's in your circle?
