When drafting emails for ministry purposes, although the task of emailing certainly has its own universal rules, most of these rules are grounded in traditional common courtesies. The Golden Rule of "Doing onto Others" should definitely be a staple concept when sending out email on behalf of your ministry to others, especially your colleagues in ministry. Thinking before you compose your next email may be the one thing that will save you and your ministry from undesired responses and potential embarrassment. Therefore, consider the following etiquette tips before you hit SEND!
God, is the supreme Owner who gives money or other kinds of resources to mankind. In the parable of the talents we see the God who gives but also demands stewardship. Talents were coins i.e. means of trading and doing business - and this was given according to abilities. Let us examine the word abilities first ... It comes from "Dunamai" force (literally or figuratively); specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself) -- ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work. It suggests that we can and do have power with God i.e. a measure of level of devotion, connection, and divine alignment that comes with being filled with the Holy Ghost. This word also suggests strength and violence to bring divine purpose to pass...we therefore have our abilities...our "Dunamai" to trade...
Please go with me as I share a heart wrenching encounter with this demonic force called suicide. The reason I'm writing to you today regarding this dark subject is to shed some light upon this very real spirit of suicide that is ever growing in this hour while at the same time comforting those preaching women who may have experienced it amidst their congregations and or loves and are wondering what more could they have done to stop the tragedy before it occurred… Read more inside...

Jesus was a very wise and selective person while walking the floors of this earth. He was neither insecure nor intimidated by those he befriended, served or even chose to work on His elite board of disciples. Jesus was strongly familiar with the ploys and employs of mankind. He was never caught off guard nor left with His mouth wide open in disbelief to an adversative behavior. Read more inside...
Imagine yourself sitting in a room full of people when all of a sudden a tornado straight from Heaven makes its descent distributing the matchless, miraculous wind of God amidst the people! Can you really envision that? Do you really believe that it did and still can happen? The Moffat translation of the Bible in Acts 2:1-2 says, "During the course of the day of Pentecost they were all together, when suddenly there came a sound from Heaven like a violent blast of wind." The scripture continued to declare that all of the people gathered there came subject to the invincible power of God brought on by the blast of wind, or tornado, if you will. This phenomenal event not only symbolized the birth of the church, but it gave credence to that fact that we too can experience such a supernatural move of God! We, just like the people in Acts 2, can experience the difference that the presence of God and His anointing makes! Are you ready? Read more inside...

Many, many, many years ago, I remember being at a Holy Convocation and a preacher and I approached the entrance to the conference hall at the same time. I stepped back because his hand was reaching to open the door and I was taught to let a gentleman open the door for me. He then snatched me back by my arm and told me, "You wait here. I am a pastor and you are only an evangelist. Always remember that I am higher and better than you." He walked in and I stood there as the door opened and closed in my face - stunned.

A narrative text is that passage of Scripture that conveys a story line. It's necessary that we are clear and persuade to our audience to understand that the stories of the Bible are not Disney fantacies or fairy tales, but the are real accounts of historical events that are applicable as examples towards spiritual development. With that said, as a preacher is it essential to retell the story in such a mannner that it is believable, comes alive, and demonstrates relevance. Wayne McDill, writer of 12 Essential Skills for Great Preaching states that it is not a violation of the sacredness of Scripture to retell its stories imaginativesly. However, he says, it may be a violation of biblical intent to tell them in such a way thtat nobody can believe them. Read more inside...
