I'll huff and puff and blow your house down!" said the big bad wolf to the little pig as his jaws became full of heated air. With ease the wolf was successful in ravaging that pig's house by blowing it to the ground. It was made of straw and the pig became the wolf's breakfast that day...sausage and bacon!...Read more inside!
Life is a journey. We see that when we look at the life cycle of the butterfly. It transforms and is reborn with wings imprinted with various colors. Perhaps we all have butterfly moments. That's exactly what happened for Rev. La Tonia Taylor. She graciously accepted our invitation to be featured on PreachingWoman.com and allow us to explore a "portion" of her story of reinvention, renewal and reclamation on her personal journey with Jesus, to Muhammad and back to Jesus again. This full circle represents both her life and now her work in ministry...Read more inside.

Is God showing you greater and more for His purpose and your fulfillment? Do you see wider and deeper as you embark upon the horizon of your next-dimensional vision? With all that you are already committed to faithfully, you may ask yourself, "is there really room for more?" Well, we are here to encourage you that there is room for more. And, you do have the capacity to see more, give more, experience and be more. Even with a day to day life that seems "stretched" to the limit, now is the time to prepare and enlarge the tent of your territory.
As we move about through out our day, perhaps channel surfing on the tv or, overhearing conversations from the next table in a crowded restaurant, sitting in a board meeting at work, or merely having a discussion with a friend, it is very easy to become focused on situations and or things that are seen every day. But, I would like to challenge you for just a moment. Consider the things that you can not see. Take some to "see the invisible."
There are times in our lives when tears become treasures and pain becomes promotions. The vocation of a preacher can be quite challenging if we do not guard our hearts, minds, and spirits firmly with the same biblical truths that we preach to others.

Perhaps on your ministerial course you have been stabbed in the back or slapped on the cheek by those you have guided, comforted or loved over the years. You may want to retaliate or use your precious gift of preaching as a weapon of destruction. Please do not allow people to cause you to lose your effectiveness in ministry or your position in the Kingdom of God.
This month, my preaching sister, is Women's Month. Do you know what that means? It means that this is a special time that has been set aside where you and I take time from our busy schedules to pause and celebrate each other. Yes, as much as there is to do, and always will be, we are determined that some time during this month, we will etch into our schedules time to reach out to that single mother, female pastor, college student, grandmother, special friend, family member or stranger and let her know that she is doing a great job and we are proud! Truly we understand that doing what you do has not, and is not easy, in particular, if you are single and doing it alone. But, nevertheless, that is why you are celebrated! Because amidst all that is going on in the world today, and [according to the world's point of view] having the odds strongly stacked up against you, you have found a way to utilize your faith, press on anyway and survive. There are some people who are born to lead and there are others who are born leaders. Skilled and anointed, Dr. Cozzette Lyons-Jones is not just a leader, but a builder of people who inspires those with whom she works and serves. Dr. Lyons-Jones is the founder of Sarah's Daughters, a community based mentoring program for women and youth. Under her leadership, over 400 members and thousands of program participants have been mentored and encouraged to have better lives. Certainly, Dr. Lyons-Jones' own work and missions have been inspired because of her own personal testimony. Born to two teenage parents in the inner city of Buffalo, New York, granted emancipation at age 17, and personal struggles with illiteracy, truly reveals God's glory and hand upon her life and proves that all things are possible through Jesus Christ. So when is enough, enough? Do you find yourself unable to enjoy what you do have because your thoughts always seem to wander to what you don't have? Contentment should be the goal of every person who desires to walk in financial freedom. In our "more, more, more" society, anyone who is content is viewed by the stressed-out masses as lazy and unambitious. It is interesting to note that various surveys show that people felt richer in the '50's they do now when we have bigger houses, IPODs, low-calorie frozen dinners, cable TV, the Internet, extra jobs and the works. Why is this so? Because we have too busy trying to obtain or maintain too much stuff!Read more inside...
