With that in mind, let me share something with you to help prepare you with that area and make your life easier as well. Twenty years prior, as an itinerant evangelist, I literally lived out of a suitcase, traveling and doing ministry at least 42 weekends out of the year. Many people that you may minister to have question marks as to God's character and how they relate to Him. Therefore, we want to provide you with a non-exhaustive frame work regarding God's attributes (aspects of God's character) in order to show how God is like us. Spending on Christmas gifts seems to pose the greatest challenge-usually for no long-term benefit. For instance, what were the three most memorable gifts that you received for Christmas last year? Can't remember? I assure you that the people to whom you gave gifts will have the same problem recalling them. So, if the gifts are not that easily recalled why put yourself in the position of having to remember them each month when you make that credit card payment? Why give a gift that keeps on costing? Instead, give something simple from your heart. Learn more inside...

In laying down some foundational truths about preachers, the Apostle Paul in Romans 10:14 asked this question: how can they hear without a preacher? On the heels of such a question, I further ask: and how can a preacher preach without a voice? If you've been ministering for some time, or you're just joining the ranks, then you know this statement is true: no voice, no preaching. It is this instrument that allows you to articulate God's Word so that His people can hear it and be edified in the faith. Therefore, at all costs, it is important that you be careful to guard and protect it; for it is one of those things whereby we say, "if you take care of it, it will take care of you."
