Can You Hold the Oil?

God is a giver and we, like Him, should be givers as well. It's not about what we can get but what God gives. It is written: "for freely have you received so freely give" (Matthew 10:8). It's not a matter of what we can do for the Kingdom of God but more a matter of whether or not God can trust us with the Kingdom. Are you a vessel fully submitted to God that he can trust? God is a giver and we, like Him, should be givers as well. It's not about what we can get but what God gives. It is written: "for freely have you received so freely give" (Matthew 10:8). It's not a matter of what we can do for the Kingdom of God but more a matter of whether or not God can trust us with the Kingdom.  Are you a vessel fully submitted to God that he can trust? Jesus (our example) was such a vessel.  In the natural (military) if a soldier decided to act independently by jumping rank and formation to carry out what he or she believes they are to do that soldier has compromised the mission of not just his commander but his country.  That soldier would be operating without command and if he or she decided to confront the enemy on their own he/she would be severely disciplined, court-martialed, or maybe even killed- for treason.  Why? Because they weren't authorized or cleared to carry out and do what they did.

Jumping rank incites rebellion and revolt against established authority i.e. orders.  God has set rank and order in Christ.  It's not only about being called or working in the ministry and doing the works of Jesus but rather are you operating in the right spirit and motive. God is looking for people He can TRUST with the glory. This is why processing is key. In processing, our hearts are pruned and purified to carry out orders.  Can He TRUST you to hold the oil in your vessel without spilling it (telling everything you know)?  Can you be filled with revelation and release upon command i.e. when He tells you?  Can God TRUST you not to jump rank and formation?  Can he TRUST you to be doing what he last told you to do without you changing, getting epiphanies, or quitting?

This is why ministries are failing and leaders are crumbling because they can't be TRUSTED with the oil in the processing season. They oftentimes, jump rank and formation to do their own thing- calling it God.  Then under pressure they do what they would never do because they would not let patience have her perfect work in processing ( James 1:4).

Hope deferred does make the heart sick. It is difficult to be full of so much oil and revelation to only be told by God: "not now" or "wait"…or better still "sit down".  God wants us to release at command and work under command of His Spirit. This establishes His order while fortifying His purposes in us within the Kingdom- " Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:9). Stay under the covering of God.  Let the Spirit of God process you through to completion.  Obedience is the prelude to power, God bless.
