Stop The Arguments

In any relationship, when you bring two people with different backgrounds and different ways of thinking about things together, at times there is going to be conflict, disagreements and arguments. Even though these matters may take place, it doesn't mean that they have to turn into shouting matches, with individuals losing their tempers in order to get their points across.
Proverbs 17:14 (ESV) says: "Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before a dispute breaks out."
God clearly knows what is going to happen if you let your emotions get the best of you, and it is not going to be good. One of the main things that happen in arguments is when it gets heated, words may be said that once they are said, you cannot take them back. Words can stay with that other person for the rest of their lives and they may always remember what you said to hurt them in that argument. You don't want that to happen especially if you really did not mean those things, but you only said those things to get back at them in the heat of the moment.
Therefore, do what the scripture says and STOP before that, or anything else, happens that you will regret later.
