I'll huff and puff and blow your house down!" said the big bad wolf to the little pig as his jaws became full of heated air. With ease the wolf was successful in ravaging that pig's house by blowing it to the ground. It was made of straw and the pig became the wolf's breakfast that day...sausage and bacon!...Read more inside!
There are times in our lives when tears become treasures and pain becomes promotions. The vocation of a preacher can be quite challenging if we do not guard our hearts, minds, and spirits firmly with the same biblical truths that we preach to others.

Perhaps on your ministerial course you have been stabbed in the back or slapped on the cheek by those you have guided, comforted or loved over the years. You may want to retaliate or use your precious gift of preaching as a weapon of destruction. Please do not allow people to cause you to lose your effectiveness in ministry or your position in the Kingdom of God.
How do you interpret love? People are daily searching for its true meaning. In our society we equate love to various actions such as, elaborate gift giving, sharing space with a committed partner, or whispering sweet nothings in one's ear until goose bumps pop up on their skin.

How can we as preachers help to lighten the load of our parishioners if we are in dismay because of precious memories of how it used to be? This is a critical time of decline in our nations and people are looking for hopeful solutions in dreadful pollution. I believe we can lift the bar of depression and lift the hearts of many negative minded people through our influence and words of encouragement. Find out how inside...
If all of God's preachers are declaring His truth without fear, favor or fanaticism why is there so much compromise among the believers. Somehow, some preachers and teachers have shifted from representing and obeying God to representing and protecting themselves. How can we intently preach about Jonah but omit the Jonah likeness that draws us away from our mission? How can we wag a finger at David and his fall in sexual sin, yet we provide platforms and places for our carnal nature to prevail and we speak not a mumbling word? Find out the answers inside...
During these latter months of the year I think it is imperative that all leaders take the time to sit and commune with their followers for a time of re-evaluation. We get progress reports when in school and we receive evaluation reports on our jobs. But how do we rate and how are we really in the eyes of those we serve and lead? Find out how inside...
Since I have been in ministry for 34 years I had to take and taste many things on my spiritual journey that were not always appeasing or pleasing. Some pills were harder to swallow and some hills were harder to climb. This month I sensed the need to pause and encourage some of you who do not "feel" productive or acceptable. Get your word if encouragement inside...
Circulating throughout the pages of the Holy Bible we find accounts of feuds, frictions and factions. Most of the time the division is fueled within the institution of the family or the church. As we embrace the history of creation in the book of Genesis we are awed at God forming man and breathing into his nostrils the breath of life. Find out more about the Devices That Divide Us!
Women of faith, it is not time to throw in the towel! Use that towel to wipe away signs of sweat, tears and blood. Use that towel to wipe the feet and the brow of another sister in distress. Wave the towel only after you have crossed the finished line and fully completed the task. Even then, wave it in adoration, praise and thanksgiving before God in worship! Get your break through inside...
